Even Better

Two nights ago, after the bedtime routine, I told my husband that I'm even a better Mom now. He replied "You have always been a great Mom." I said "I know, but I'm even better now!"

There is nothing in life that I wanted more than to be a Mommy. I wanted to be a Mom as soon as I understood what that meant. I loved babies when I was a baby.

My daughter is entering into the "pre-teen" chapter. I want to be (and I will be) present, observant, aware and available. While of course not being perfect, owning up to my mistakes (which I'm pretty good at), and not being a "Helicopter Mom"...no pressure!
